Grandpa's 80th Birthday

We had the oppurtunity to go down to Cedar this weekend to celebrate my Grandpa Stubb's 80th Birthday! We got there on Friday night at about eight and had hot dogs and hamburgers with my family!! The kids stripped down to their undies and went down the large waterslide that my mom had borrowed from a friend!! My mom then told us of a muddy pollywog pond that was just down the street from her house!! So with a few grumbles from the guys we went to the polly wog pond!! the little mud hole was filled with thousands of pollywogs!! The boys actually really got into getting the pollywogs and tromping through the mud!! Melissa and I started turning over old boards and ended up finding a little toad!! The kids loved him and took him home, along with lots of tiny pollywogs!!

 

The next morning we went to a friends house of my moms. She had the cutest miniature horses!! The kids got to feed them grass and carrots!! They also had a cute tire swing in the barn that the kids got to swing on!! The horses were so darling! We kept trying to get my dad to buy one for my mom! She was in horsey heaven!!

Later that evening was my Grandpa's birthday party!! We went over to Parowan at about 3:00 to help set up!! Cedar city hasn't gotten any rain for the longest time, but because we planned the party to be outside it poured rain! So we had to move everything inside the church! We had a nice dinner for him with just our family in the basement of the old rock church! We then went over to the other church where we had cake and ice cream, a band, and the whole town of parowan coming to wish grandpa a happy birthday!! The little kids also got to ring the bell at the old rock church! It was so fun to be with friends and family and dance the night away! Nobody throws a party like those Stubb's girls!! Thanks for the wonderful weekend everyone!! From the toads to the staying up late and chatting and laughing with my brothers and sister!! We love you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!
