Josh came home from work on Friday and spontaneously said, "let's go camping and take the boat out!" WHAT!!! I love when he is spontaneous but when it means me having to hurry and pack everything up and get everything ready really fast, it's not my favorite thing and to tell you the truth I really wasn't very excited to go! But I saw how excited my kids were so I decided to change my attitude and go for them! We went up to Jordanelle by Park City! It was beautiful and very warm! We got a cute little campsite not to far from the lake and set up camp! We took the boat out and took the kids for a ride! The kids LOVE it!! Josh was so lucky to get his Grandpa's boat when he passed away! We love that boat and have so much fun on it! We named it the PT Cruiser after his grandpa Paul Theodore! Wyatt loved to drive it with his daddy and Raegan had so much fun looking for Crocodiles and Mermaids! Josh and I tried to catch some fish, but we had no such luck! Raegan tried to catch a fish too, but ended up dropping her pole in the water and it sunk straight to the bottom! She was so upset and the only thing that calmed her down was Josh telling her that it was so nice to let the mermaids have her fishing pole! She was happy after that! We swam a little, but the water was so cold! The kids didn't mind it of course, but it was to cold for us old foogies!! We had fun roasting marshmallows and hot dogs, sleeping in the back of pampa's truck in sleeping bags, looking at the stars, singing songs and telling stories, seeing deer right behind our campsite, and getting suntans!! (i shouldn't have worn sunglasses now I have raccoon eyes) I am so glad I went! Definitely a fond family memory to cherish forever!!
