Water for Haiti

My sweet husband came home from work one day and told me about this fun service project a guy from his work was doing (if you do a day of service then you get a day free at Disneyland) so we decided to look it up and sure enough it was true!! So we looked at all the services that needed to be done in our area and there was one that needed to collect water for Haiti! I have wanted to do something for the Haitian people ever sense the earthquake happened so we thought that this would be perfect!! So we called Josh's parents and Austin and Chelsi and asked if they wanted to do it with us because we are going to Disneyland together in October and we thought it would be a fun family project!! They all agreed of course!! So we bought and collected water bottles throughout the month of February! We ended up with almost 1,000 water bottles between the 3 couples!! Chelsi and I dropped them off and unloaded them. We had her jeep and my car and they were both full! It feels good when you are doing something for some one else!! The best part about it wasn't even the fact that we get a day free at Disneyland, but knowing that the Haitian's now have some fresh water to drink because of me, was the best feeling of all. I also loved teaching my children about serving! Raegan was so into it and was so excited she told me "mom, now a little girl in Haiti can drink yummy water, and she will say "Thank's Raegan!" Those are the moments that really count!! I am so greatful for what I have and the experiences that make life so meaningful! Thanks to everyone who donated water!

This is too cute! What a neat experience and what a fun way to teach service! Both the giver and the receiver are blessed! Love you!
